Meet Nurul Afiqah binti Mohd Nor, also known as Dr. Fyy, the person-in-charge and associate dentist at Klinik Pergigian Saujana. Born in Kuala Lumpur on 11th July 1992, Dr. Fyy is the middle child in her family. She pursued her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Melaka-Manipal Medical College (MMMC) and graduated in 2017.
Dr. Fyy started her government service at Klinik Pergigian Tampin in 2018 before joining Klinik Pergigian Saujana in March 2021. She is happily married to a dentist and shares her love for cooking with her spouse. Cooking allows her to express her creativity and explore new flavors and techniques. Her favorite cuisines are Japanese and home-cooked food.
Apart from her passion for cooking, Dr. Fyy is an expert in aligning teeth following the smile arc through orthodontic treatment. She has attended various courses to enhance her skills, including Biomechanical Institute for Orthodontics (BiO), Essential Skills For Wisdom Tooth Surgery by Dr. Dhamindra, The Rise Of Dentistry by Dr. Griya & Dr. Rizal, and Digital Smile Design Residency by Dr. Coachman.
When asked where she sees herself in five years, Dr. Fyy stated that she hopes to continue staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques to provide the highest quality of care to her patients.
Interestingly, Dr. Fyy’s fear of cats has been transformed into a love for them, thanks to her pet cat named Twinkle. Her passion for dentistry is not limited to her work as she has also conducted research on orofacial pain. She has published a paper titled Malay Translation And Validation Of Short Form – McGill Pain Questionnaire-2 Among Patients With Orofacial Pain Attending An Institutional Outpatient Department In Malaysia.
